DIY - garlic nailhardener

Hey guys,

Is everybody enjoying their weekend?

Yesterday I read about a great do it yourself - tric on one of my favourite beauty blogs. I'm not one of the doomed people who got broken nails as soon as they're longer than their finger, but this nailhardener is also working great on my nails. I think this is a good-working, moneysaving tip for everyone who keeps sucking with regular nail hardeners.

All you need, is a transparent nail polish (I used Catrice - I can see trough you) and one toe of garlic.

1) Peel the garlic and cut it in tiny parts. Not too tiny - they have to fit in the bottle of nail polish, but you must be able to paint your nails without bonding garlic on the brush.
2) Let the nail polish rest for a week. Every day you have to shake the bottle a bit.

Tadaaah, here's your selfmade garlic nail-hardener!
I'm using it since three days ago, and it works perfectly.

Enjoy trying out & till next time! :)

Catrice - Caught on the red carpet

Caught on the red carpet

Good morning guys!
This is Catrice - Caught on the red carpet, a beautiful red color.

Okay, first I have to say: in "real life" this color is really different. I don't know why it's so hard to photograph nail polish... On the original photo (this photo is already photoshopped) it seems like Caught on the red carpet is an regular red, but it's more like cherry-red, more to the Catrice - The devil wears red-side.

Anyway, I lalalove this color! :) The formula is also good, and the brush is very thick and easy to polish with. I love the Catrice-brush!

I'm sorry guys, I have something to say about the upcoming How to rescue you nail article... It's not upcoming. I had to do it quickly in the evening, and it was already dark outside - so I couldn't make any pictures. But, I promise, when my nails are broken, I won't rescue them in the evening :).

Take care of yourself, and till next time!

New Catrice polish & layout problems

Hey guys,

You may have seen that sometimes the header is doing weird things. Excuse me, but I think blogger was hungry and decided to eate my site :(. I'm still bizzy with a good "fitting" header, you'll see! :)

I bought three new Catrice nailpolishes, and the swatches are going to be on the site as fast as I can photograph them... the weather is really bad. As soon as I can find some sun, i'll swatch them. Today I am wearing one of them, sooooo that's the first one you can expect! :)

Today was a bizzy day. I polished my grandma's nails, but - as dumb as I am - I forgot my camera. So there are no photos, but I think you can imagine a grandmother with limegreen nails, can't you? Love you gran!
I'm bizzy too with the how to for selfmade nailhardener.

So, now you know what you can expect, good night and I hope you'll get some sweat dreams ^^

Bye!

Olive oil used as a beauty product

Hey guys,

Doesn't it sound weird? Yes, but actually it isn't. Our eyes only see the world oil, but you've too see the whole thing. We think: "I'm not going to do that, oil makes my hair and skin oily." But when you do it right, olive oil will make your hair soft and shiny and give you a soft skin. I know this post isn't about nailpolish, but I just have to share this awesome and money-saving tips with you guys :). Here are some tips to transform that green bottle in your kitchen into a beautyproduct.

1. Cuticle oil
If you rub a little drop of the oil into your cuticles, they'll be soft and easy to push back immediately. Make sure you removed all the oil before you start to polish your nails, because oily nails when you begin to paint your nails is not such a great idea, trust me.

2. Hair mask
Especially now, when it's this hot, this is a great idea. The sun is not your hair's best friend. And swimming is also not great for your hair. So when your hair is dry and dull, you can use olive oils as a hair mask. Use it like any ordinary mask, and wash your hair really secure because if there's still olive oil in your hair, yeah, then you'll end up with oily hair. Hehe.

3. Make-up remover
But a drop of olive oils on a wet cotton pad and use it to remove your eye make up. They say you can use it for removing your face make up too, but I shouldn't do that. I think it'll give you a lot of pimples.

4. Shaving oil
Using olive oil for shaving is a great idea. My skin always gets irritated when I use shaving gel, and this is a great solution.

5. Scrub
Last but not least; an olive oil scrub. All you need is sugar or salt, and of course olive oil. Mix the oil and suger in a bowl. You can make a real paste by using a lot of sugar, but you can also use relative more olive oil. Find out what works the best for you! :)

I think you can buy an extra bottle of olive oil for in the bathroom, am I right?

Enjoy trying out these tips, and till next time!

Essence nail repair pads, Essence nail art stickers

Hi Guys!

I promised you that I would make a haul post, so here it is. I didn't bought a lot, my money is like ehh. yeah, I spent it all.Look at the stickers, aren't they great? I can't wait to try them out.

Essence base coat, Catrice nail hardener, Catrice quick dry top coat

A base coat, nail hardener, and a top coat - nothing special.
I'm going to make a how-to, I found a way to make your own nail hardener. It works amaaaaazing, but I discovered it after I bought the Catrice nail hardener... Too bad, but I'll live with it, haha.

See you next time!

Back in town!

Hey guys,

I'm back in town! :)
Sarah is still on holiday, so that means I own this blog for a few days. Mwuhaha!
Now the serious stuff. I'm not going to swatch a lot of nailpolish, because my nails are all broken. And that happened before I bought the Essence nail repair set (I'm going to test it on my mom's nails, because I think I contenimated her with the broken-nail virus). Too bad...

And what's next?
There's gonna be a haul-post, and I'm also going to make a nailpolish stash-page.

Aaaaand, this blog is going to be a lot more professional. And, the layout needs something FRESHHH...

Thanks for stopping by and till next time!
